Last weekend I competed at the District level (third of four) in the Toastmaster’s Tall Tales contest. The idea is to make up an elaborate story (aka “lie”) with lots of alliteration and outlandish twists. Here I am mid-story:
The telling of a Tall Tale
The competition was fierce and hilarious. I took second. I also competed in the International Speech Contest, which will ultimately go on to compete at the World Championship of Public Speaking. I won that one (so no video until I’m no longer competing), which means I’m off to California for the District competition!!
Two insanely huge trophies.
